The Karnataka Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) (Amendment) Rules, 2019

Government of Karnataka vide notification No: LD 268LET 2016 (P-l) has amended Schedule 1 of the Karnataka Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Rules, 1961.

 As per the amendment, every Industrial Establishment operating or carrying on business in Karnataka shall give priority appointment to Kannadigas who are Indian citizens and are residing in Karnataka for not less than fifteen years (15) and are able to read, write and speak Kannada language subject to suitability, qualification, experience and other requirements in case of workmen.

 The amendment has further mandated that every industrial establishment shall provide not less than five percent of employment to persons with bench mark disabilities as defined in clause (r) of section 2 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 in case of workmen in order to get incentive from the Government. 

DIRECT UAN ALLOTMENT BY EMPLOYEES

Employees can update their Date of Exit (DOE) in EPF portal through UAN member login. They can update his/her date of Exit (DOE) only after 2 months of last contribution made by the employer.

Follow the steps given below to use this:👇

Login to Member UAN Portal

--> Click on "Manage"

--> Click on "Mark Exit"

--> Select Employment

--> Enter & Re enter the Date of Exit

--> Select the reason of Exit

--> Click on "Request OTP"

--> Enter the OTP

--> Select the checkbox & submit.

Amendment of Renewal of Registration under Odisha Shops & Comm Establishment Act

Odisha Government has stopped the Renewal of S&E Registration with effect from 31.07.2019. The Renewal of S&E Registration has been exempted after 31.07.2019 if the Registration is valid up to 31.12.2019

As per the Notification attached herewith, The Establishment who has valid Registration up to 31.12.2019, Renewal for 2020 is not required. However, those who have not renewed up to 31.12.2019 they need to apply for the Renewal.

Please find attached Notification for your reference and check whether you have Valid S&E Registration up to 31.12.2019 or not if your premises/office/Establishment is in Municipality/Revenue Area.
